Why do I need website maintenance?

Does it matter which webhost I use?

It doesn’t matter at all. We’ve worked with dozens of different web host providers and have established great communication and rapport with many of them. We can definitely make some educated recommendations for hosting if you don’t have one already, but we’re happy to work with whoever you choose.

Do I have to change web hosting providers?

No, you don’t. We will most likely recommend one of our preferred hosting partners. Your website is an investment and you should pay for quality hosting. We can help you choose which is right for you and assist with the signup/migration process.

NOTE: If your host provider does not support any of our backup options or does not meet our minimum requirements for hosting, you may not be eligible to receive the full benefits of our maintenance service.

What requirements should my current hosting package have?

Although we can offer our services to any WordPress web site, to get the full potential of our backup & security features your hosting environment should have the following:


  • Linux Hosting

  • Apache

  • PHP 5.2 or higher

  • MySQL 5.0 or higher

  • FTP access

  • Database access

  • CPanel access

How do I request additional customization to my WordPress website?

Simply send an email to support@websitecare.ie or via our contact form with a list of your needs. We will then get in touch to discuss your needs and come up with a quotation suitable for you.

How can I pay for a maintenance package?

We accept Direct-Debit,  PayPal or Cheques for payment.  If you choose the monthly invoicing option, you’ll be sent an invoice via email each month. Payment is due upon receipt of that invoice. As an alternative, you can pay for a years service upfront and avail of our special discount. Please ask about this when you enquire about our service.

Can I cancel my Maintenance Package at any time?

Absolutely. All we ask is you give us 30-days notice*. If you are unhappy with the service you have received from Website Care please let us know how we could have improved our service.
Note: If you have paid for a maintenance package in full for one year and decided to cancel, we will not be able to issue a refund.
